Product Description
- The SMT 974 Special CEVOLUTION abrasive mop disc has been optimized for steel materials. It can also be used for machining stainless steel. The SMT 974 is an optimal tool for edge and weld seam processing. It is used, among other things, in metal construction, boat and ship building, and in locksmithing.
- The abrasive mop disc SMT 974 Special CEVOLUTION convinces with the new, self-sharpening CEVOLUTION ceramic abrasive grit. In combination with a cotton compound backing, the SMT 974 becomes a
- reliable grinding machine with a particularly high stock removal. The extra-thick coating with abrasives enables a particularly long service life. The innovative CEVOLUTION technology ensures that the abrasives offer the maximum performance in their field of application.
- A relatively high contact pressure is required so that the grain can break out and the self-sharpening effect can occur. For this reason, Klingspor advises using abrasive mop discs with ceramic grain only on powerful angle grinders, ideally with 1,100 watts or more. If the angle grinder is too weak, the grain can become blunt, which prevents the self-sharpening effect from occurring.
