Product Description
- The SMT 975 Special CEVOLUTION abrasive mop disc is ideal for processing steel. It can also be used for processing stainless steel. The SMT 975 is used particularly in metal construction and in boat and ship building, but can be used universally in metal processing.
- The SMT 975 Special CEVOLUTION abrasive mop disc has several impressive features: The new ceramic abrasive grain and the innovative CEVOLUTION technology with its self-sharpening effect as well as the trimmable disc ensure unprecedented durability. Thanks to CEVOLUTION, the SMT 975 impresses with its long service life and extreme aggressiveness.
- By trimming the plastic disc, the unused abrasive in the inner area of the disc can be used. This ensures additional service life compared to a conventional flap disc.
- Thanks to the integrated M14 thread, tools can be changed quickly and efficiently without the use of a spanner.
- A relatively high contact pressure is required for the grain to break out and create the self-sharpening effect. This is why Klingspor recommends using abrasive mop discs with ceramic grain only on powerful angle grinders, ideally with 1,100 watts or more. If the angle grinder is too weak, the grain may become dull, which prevents the self-sharpening effect from occurring.
- The SMT 975 Special complies with the safety certification guidelines of the Organisation for the Safety of Abrasives (OSA).
