Product Description
The abrasive CBN is used when materials cannot be processed with conventional abrasives such as aluminium oxide or silicon carbide.
It is also the more economical solution for many applications.
CBN has established itself as a problem solver in numerous sectors such as the automotive industry and its suppliers, mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology, tool and mould making, the tool industry, the ceramics processing industry, plastics processing (GRP/CFRP) and foundries (grey and nodular cast iron).
Description
CBN (cubic crystalline boron nitride) is the second hardest solid material. It consists of boron and nitrogen in a crystalline arrangement.
CBN is suitable for machining case-hardened steels, roller and ball bearing steels, tool steels and other hardened steel materials with a hardness from approx. 54 HR.
CBN grain is significantly harder and its cutting edges are very resistant to blunting.
CBN tools have a very long tool life.
The cylindrical shape ZY is suitable for sanding bores, radii and contours in stationary and manual applications.
