- A pot magnet with a release screw is a particularly strong permanent magnet enclosed in a protective steel pot. This design concentrates the magnetic field on the open side, resulting in a very high holding force – in this case between 200 and 880 newtons. This makes the magnet ideal for applications where metal parts need to be held securely and firmly, yet still be removable.
