Product Description
- The emergency set is ideal for use on oil tankers, oil vessels and in shipping companies.
- The set is indispensable for water protection at sea, rivers and in port facilities and for fulfilling the Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (SOPEP).
- The emergency set is suitable for holding 7 barrels of liquid.
- The emergency kit contains all the important binders, protective equipment and other useful utensils for containing and eliminating oil spills on the water.
- Even when saturated, the binders float without restriction.
- The binders reliably absorb hydrocarbon-based liquids such as oils and fuels.
- The light color serves as an indicator of the degree of saturation of the binders.
- The set complies with the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA90). OPA 90 defines requirements for the prevention and control of oil spills and stipulates that absorbing materials must be carried on board to absorb spilled oil on deck:
- Oil tankers up to 400 feet (120 m) in length require binding agents to hold at least 7 barrels.
- Oil tankers longer than 400 feet (120 m) require binding agents to hold at least 12 barrels.
- The scope of delivery includes: 12 oil barriers 300 x 13 cm, 600 absorbent mats 50 x 40 cm, 2 rolls of binding fleece à 45 mx 38 cm, 20 absorbent snakes 120 x 7.5 cm, 15 absorbent cushions 25 x 25 cm , 5 goggles with elastic band, 5 pairs of protective gloves made of nitrile, 5 chemical protection overalls, 5 reusable half masks, 10 gas and combination filters, 30 disposal bags of 120 liters, 5 PE slide-lock bags, 2 hand shovels, 1 shovel, 2 plastic buckets each 12 liters.
