Product Description
- Diamond abrasives are used when materials cannot be processed with conventional abrasives such as aluminium oxide or silicon carbide.
- It is also the more economical solution for many applications.
- Diamant has established itself as a problem solver in numerous sectors such as the automotive industry and its suppliers, mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology, tool and mould making, the tool industry, the ceramics processing industry, plastics processing (GRP/CFRP) and foundries (grey and nodular cast iron).
- Diamond is the hardest naturally occurring solid material, consisting of pure carbon in a crystalline arrangement.
- Rotating diamond tools are not suitable for processing steel due to their high chemical wear.
- Diamond is suitable for machining thermosetting plastics, ferrite (magnetic material), glass, graphite and electrical carbon, grey and nodular cast iron, hard metal, nickel- or titanium-based superalloys, technical ceramics and wear-resistant coatings (spray-on and weld-on alloys).
- The mounted points can be used for dry and wet sanding.
- Diamond grit is significantly harder and its cutting edges are very resistant to blunting.
- Diamond tools have a very long service life.
- The KU ball mould is often used in hand-held applications. This mould is suitable for engraving, grinding contours and deburring.
