- SMC’s AV series soft-start valves are used to gently start up pneumatic systems in order to prevent pressure surges and system stress.
- They are suitable for machines with high safety requirements during commissioning, as well as for modular connections to maintenance units.
- Typical sectors of application include mechanical engineering, industrial automation and assembly technology.
- The soft-start valve in a lockable slot design allows for a one-time adjustment with a permanently secure lock.
- It is therefore particularly suitable for use in production machinery, assembly lines, machinery subject to high levels of vibration or movement, safety-critical applications, cleanrooms or in automated systems where no operator intervention is required.
- The SMC AV-YOB soft-start valve consists of an aluminium housing with a corrosion-resistant surface and an integrated damping unit.
- An electrically controlled 3/2-way solenoid valve regulates the pressure supply and releases it with a delay.
- A check valve ensures unimpeded pressure relief when the system is shut down.
- The AV-YOB soft-start valve in a straight version is fitted with a DIN terminal without a plug and, optionally, with a built-in silencer.
