- The SMC AV soft-start valve is used for the gentle start-up of pneumatic systems to prevent pressure surges and system stress.
- It is suitable for machines with high safety requirements during commissioning, as well as for modular connections to maintenance units.

- The soft-start valve in a lockable slot design allows for a one-time adjustment with a permanently secure lock.
- It is therefore particularly suitable for use in production machines, production lines, machines subject to strong vibration or movement, safety-critical applications, cleanrooms or in automated systems where no operator intervention is required.
- SMC’s AV series soft-start valves consist of an aluminium body with a corrosion-resistant finish and an integrated damping unit.
- An electrically controlled 3/2-way solenoid valve regulates the pressure supply and releases it with a delay.
- A check valve ensures unimpeded pressure relief when the system is shut down.
- The AV-YZB soft-start valve in a straight version is fitted with a DIN terminal with plug and, optionally, with a built-in silencer.
- It also features an operational indicator and a safety circuit, which further enhances operational safety in maintenance- and safety-intensive systems and applications.
