Product Description
- The water post-condenser is used in particular for distillation processes with volatile solvents or substances with very low boiling points.
- In these cases, the main condenser may not be able to cool sufficiently to condense all the vapour. The water after-condenser helps to condense these remaining vapours and thus ensure complete recovery of the solvent.
- The water post-condenser ensures that no vapours are lost that could otherwise not be completely cooled by the main condenser. This is particularly important in order to maximise the loss of solvents and therefore the yield of the distillate.
- Particularly when distilling high-purity or sensitive substances, the water post-condenser ensures that all vapours are completely condensed, which helps to avoid impurities and increase the purity of the end product.
- Particularly when distilling high-purity chemicals, the water post-condenser ensures that no unwanted vapours enter the end product.
- The vapour that has left the main condenser but has not yet been fully condensed enters the post-water condenser. Here, the vapour is cooled further by additional cooling and fully condensed so that no more vapour losses occur.
- The condensed solvent is finally discharged from the water post-condenser and can either be reused or collected.
- The water post-condenser helps to prevent the loss of solvents that could otherwise escape if they are not sufficiently condensed.
- The additional condensation ensures that almost all of the vapour is condensed, which maximises the yield of the distillate.
