Product Description
- The Hose Guard is an effective hose and pipe burst protection device for compressed air systems, designed for normal air volumes as required by pneumatic tools. "Hose Guard protects personnel and the working environment from damage that can occur when a compressed air system or compressed air hose bursts.
- The Hose Guard hose burst protection device is made of aluminium and has a polyacetate piston and an external and internal thread, each in the size G 1/2". As soon as damage occurs due to a hose or pipe rupture, the Hose Guard immediately interrupts the flow except for a marginal residual flow. Undamaged parts of the compressed air network remain fully pressurised, allowing the affected segment or hose to be replaced safely. After the repair, the residual flow slowly refills the segment to working pressure level. As soon as this is reached, the Hose Guard reopens the line for normal operation. The Hose Guard is installed upstream of a coupling (transition point between fixed pipework and distributor socket/coupling) and downstream of a maintenance unit. The safety device fulfils the EU standard DIN EN ISO 4414: 2010, 2011-04 - § 5.4.5.11. It is protected against operation and adjustment and can be installed in any compressed air system.
