- The ultrasonic flow meter is suitable for the non-contact measurement of flow velocity, volumetric flow rate and flow rates in pipework systems.
- It can be used, amongst other things, for monitoring and analysing heating, cooling and supply systems, as well as in industrial pipework systems.
- When used in conjunction with two thermocouples, the heat transfer can also be determined based on the temperature difference between the supply and return lines.
- The ultrasonic flow meter enables flow measurements with a measuring range of ±32 m/s.
- Depending on the pipe diameter, the device achieves an accuracy of ±1.5 per cent of the measured value for DN ≥ 50 or ±3.5 per cent of the measured value for DN
- The reproducibility is ±0.5% of the measured value.
- An integrated installation guide assists with the correct positioning of the sensors. It displays both the signal quality and the required distance between the sensors graphically.
- Once the pipe and fluid data have been entered, the meter displays, amongst other things, the flow velocity, the volume flow rate and the volume measured.
- A choice of different units of measurement is available for display.
- The integrated data logger function allows measured values to be recorded directly. Start and stop conditions, as well as recording intervals ranging from one second to twelve hours, can be set individually. The internal memory, with a capacity of 32 GB, can store up to 10 million data points.
- Using the optionally available software, the stored measurement data can be read out, analysed in tabular or graphical form and exported as a CSV file. In addition, PDF reports can be generated, device settings adjusted and current measurement values displayed in a live view.
- When used in conjunction with two thermocouples, the device can also be used to determine the heat output. To do this, the temperatures in the supply and return pipes are recorded and analysed together with the measured flow rate. On request, costs per unit of heat output can also be calculated and displayed during the measurement.
- The 2.8-inch colour LCD display provides a clear view of the measured values.
