Product Description
- Compressed air receivers are used to store compressed air. For best results, compressed air receivers should be installed downstream of cyclone separators and other air treatment systems. Condensate separators are required to prevent the build-up of water and the associated corrosion of the housing.
- Compressed air receivers are used to store compressed air and are sized according to the compressor’s delivery rate and the system’s compressed air consumption.
- The stored compressed air can be used to meet compressed air demand on an ad hoc basis. This helps to balance out fluctuations in compressed air consumption and cover short-term peaks in demand.
- The additional storage capacity can reduce the frequency of load cycles on the compressor, thereby reducing the mechanical stress on the screw block, the electric motor and the drive.
- The compressed air receiver helps to stabilise the system pressure when compressed air demand fluctuates.
- The surface of the compressed air receiver allows the stored compressed air to release heat into the surrounding environment. In the process, any moisture contained within may condense and is then drained off via a suitable condensate drain.
