Product Description
- The CD55 compact cylinder from SMC is suitable for linear motion applications in general mechanical and plant engineering.
- It is used, for example, in automation systems, assembly equipment, handling systems and packaging machines for pushing, clamping, positioning or feeding workpieces.
- The automatic pneumatic end-of-stroke cushioning is particularly suitable for applications where gentle deceleration of the piston and reduced impact on the machine are required.
- The version with a solenoid is ideal when the piston position needs to be monitored via a signal transmitter or integrated into the machine control system.
- The SMC ISO compact cylinder CD55 is a double-acting pneumatic cylinder with a single-ended piston rod featuring an internal thread.
- The compact design, compliant with ISO 21287, allows for use in confined spaces and offers a wide range of mounting options.
- The automatic pneumatic end-of-stroke cushioning reduces the impact energy at the end of the stroke and ensures that the piston is brought to a gentle stop.
- The integrated solenoid enables the retrofitting or use of signal transmitters for piston position detection.
- The cylinder is lubricated for its entire service life, so relubrication is not required.
