Product Description
- Compressed air tanks are used to store compressed air and are employed in compressed air systems.
- Installation should preferably take place downstream of cyclone separators and other air treatment systems.
- Suitable condensate separators can be used to reduce condensate build-up and the associated corrosion within the tank.
- Compressed air receivers are used to store compressed air and are sized according to the compressor’s delivery rate and the system’s compressed air consumption.
- The stored compressed air can be used to meet compressed air demand on an ad hoc basis. This helps to balance out fluctuations in compressed air consumption and cover short-term peaks in demand.
- The additional storage capacity can reduce the frequency of load cycles on the compressor, thereby reducing the mechanical stress on the screw block, the electric motor and the drive.
- The compressed air receiver helps to stabilise the system pressure when compressed air demand fluctuates.
- The stored compressed air can release heat into the surrounding environment via the surface of the compressed air receiver. In the process, any moisture contained within may condense and is then drained off via a suitable condensate drain.
