Product Description
- The PowerFull II fully threaded screw is ideal for a wide variety of applications with structural timber, such as main to secondary beam connections, rafter to purlin connection, notch reinforcement, penetrations, beam doubling and reinforcement, transverse tension reinforcement, coupling purlins, bearing reinforcement / transverse compression reinforcement, shear wood fastening on-roof insulation, refurbishment of old beams, bearing beams, element connections in timber frame construction as well as steel plate timber connections.
- The screw is suitable according to standards for solid softwood timber of strength classes C14 - C40, solid beech, ash or oak timber with pre-drilling, glued laminated timber of at least strength class GL24c, glued laminated timber of beech, ash or oak with pre-drilling, laminated veneer lumber LVL, laminated beams Duo- and Triobalken, cross laminated timber as well as structural beech with pre-drilling.
- The PowerFull II fully threaded screw is made of steel and is both electrogalvanized and blue passivated.
- The new tip geometry ensures fast screwing-in and low splitting behavior.
- The cylinder head with additional milling pockets can be screwed flush with the surface or countersunk cleanly and deeply into the wood with a long bit. It also prevents damage to the attachments due to reaming.
- The new screw geometry improves technical values such as pull-out load capacity and screw-in torque.
- Thanks to the tip geometry (needle point), the screw can be easily applied even in extreme situations. This facilitates, for example, slanted screwing and reduces the splitting behavior on the substrate. The screw with 10 mm thread diameter has a drill tip that creates a predrilling effect, prevents the long screw from running and further reduces the splitting behavior.
- The unique core cutter geometry enables small center distances and edge distances as well as high loads.
- In addition to the usual softwoods, the PowerFull II is also approved for processing in hardwoods. The ETA-21/0751 approval provides additional safety.
